ii. Lackes should get health insurance even though they can’t afford it.
iii. The lack’ family should be financially compensated for the Hela cells.
iv. Pharmaceutical factory and Government should pay money.
v. I will try to control the right to use the Hela cells.
The novel The Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, shows us that Henrietta Lacks’ cells can help scientists to overcome the some challenges. Henrietta Lack was a beautiful and friendly woman. Dr. Guy wants to take her cells for research, and he wants to find some ways to overcome cancer. Henrietta doesn’t ask anything, and she gives her cells to Dr. Guy. Her cells is very helpful to do some researches, and her cells help a lot of people to be health, and her cells help a lot of people become rich. However, this novel has a great example of irony. It is Hela cells help a lot of people to get health and money, but Henrietta’s family can’t get any benefits from Hela cells. Her family can’t afford to see doctor. It is not fair to her family. I think we should not forget the help from Henrietta Lack.
Lackes should get health insurance even though they can’t afford it. The reason is Hela cells help us to do some researches, and we should help her family to overcome their challenge. If we get help from other people and we will be ungrateful, it will make our world become more ruthless. For example, China helps America to overcome the financial storm. Next time, America will also help China to overcome the difficulties. That will help us to create a great future and build a friendly society.
The lack’ family should be financially compensated for the Hela cells. Some people know Hela cells have ability to make a lot of money. They get Hela cells for free, and they use Hela cells to make themselves become rich. So, I think Lack’s family should get some benefits from the Hela cells. In the real world, if the drug use to treat the cancer, and it is often very expensive.
The pharmaceutical factory and government should pay money. Pharmaceutical factory and government get a lot of benefits from the medicine. Hela cells are very helpful to create new medicine for resistance to cancer. Pharmaceutical factory makes a lot of money by creating new drugs. The government also gets a lot of tax from medicine. In addition, government also has responsibility to take care of citizen.
If I was in lacks’ situation, I would try to prove the Hela cells belong to the Henrietta Lack. I will also try to control the right to use Hela cells. That will be the better way to get benefits from the Hela cells and help her family to get better life.
In the end, the story shows us a great ironic thing in the world. We should protect our own benefits. Also, we should not forget help from other people. We need to help each other to build a comfortable world.
